Privacy
Effective 2026-09-19. This page describes what the DynaSparks website and DynaSparks PDF tools actually do with your data.
Summary
- The website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and does not set tracking cookies.
- Files you open in the PDF tools are processed on your device. They are not uploaded.
- Some tools store working copies in your browser so you can recover unsaved work. You can delete this data at any time.
- Optional cloud features exist only where explicitly stated, are off by default, and show where your document will be sent before anything is uploaded.
The website
Visiting the website loads pages, fonts, scripts and images from this site's own origin. No third-party analytics, tag managers, social widgets or advertising networks are embedded. Your browser may store the site as a progressive web app cache so it loads offline; that cache contains application files only.
Your theme preference (light or dark) and, for the Tools directory, your favorite and recently used tools are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your browser.
The PDF tools
Viewing, editing, annotating, form filling, signing, page operations, OCR (text recognition), search, redaction and export all run inside your browser using WebAssembly. The PDF is not transmitted to DynaSparks or anyone else during these operations.
Recovery data. To protect you from losing work after a crash or an accidental refresh, the editor stores the original file, a working checkpoint and a log of your edits in the browser's origin-private file system. This storage is private to your browser profile and is not synced anywhere. You can delete it from Settings → Privacy, and browsers remove it when site data is cleared.
OCR models. Recognition models are downloaded from this site the first time you run OCR and cached in your browser so OCR works offline afterwards. The download contains model files only; no information about your document is sent with the request.
Passwords. Passwords for protected PDFs are used to open the file on your device and are never stored.
Saved signatures. Visual signatures you choose to save are stored in your browser's local storage only.
Optional cloud conversion
The editor can connect to a separately hosted "Document AI" service to produce DOCX, Markdown, JSON or XLSX exports. This feature is disabled until you enter a service URL and enable uploads in Settings, and every conversion shows the destination before you confirm. When you use it, the current document is uploaded to that service over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted automatically by the service after processing (results are kept for a limited time so you can download them). If you self-host the service, its privacy behaviour is under your control.
What we do not do
- We do not collect document contents, file names, OCR text, form values or annotations.
- We do not build profiles, sell data or share data with advertisers.
- We do not run telemetry or crash reporting on this site.
Your choices
- Clear recovery data in the editor's settings or by clearing site data in your browser.
- Delete downloaded OCR models in the editor's settings.
- Uninstall the web app or clear its cache from your browser at any time.
Changes
If this page changes, the effective date above is updated. Material changes to how data is handled will be reflected in the tools themselves as well.
