or drop it anywhere on this page

Your PDF is opened on your device. It is never uploaded.

Other PDF tools

Add image to PDF pages in your browser, without uploading the document. Insert a PNG or JPEG such as a logo or a photo, swap an existing picture for a new one, or move, resize and delete images that are already on the page.

How to add image to PDF

  1. Choose PDF file, or drop the PDF on this page. The Insert image tool is active when the file opens.
  2. Click on the page where the image should go and pick a PNG or JPEG from your device.
  3. Drag the image to move it; use the corner handles to resize it. To swap an existing picture, select it and press Replace image…; Delete image removes it.
  4. Press Export and choose PDF with all edits to download the file.

Why it is private

The picture and the PDF are combined by PDFium running as WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Neither the document nor the image is uploaded; the result is written on your device when you export.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. The PDF tools are free to use. There is no account, no payment and no watermark.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The image is placed inside your browser. The only network requests are for the tool's own files, and the optional cloud conversion is off by default and shows the destination before anything is sent.

Which image formats can I insert?

PNG and JPEG. Convert other formats to one of these first.

Will inserting an image reduce its quality?

No. PNG and JPEG data is embedded as it is; nothing is recompressed.

Does it work offline after loading?

Yes. Once a tool has loaded with a connection, the site keeps it cached and you can use it again without one. The site can also be installed as a web app from your browser.

What is the maximum file size?

Files up to 1 GB are accepted. Very large files depend on your device's memory, and some undo steps are skipped above 48 MB to keep the editor responsive.
